CDGM offers high homogeneity optical glass such as H-K9L, H-K9LGT.This kind of glass is used in astronomy, aerospace, industry and other fields. The features are as follows:
- High optical homogeneity
- High stress uniformity
- Low stress birefringence
Optical homogeneity
Optical homogeneity is the embodiment of uniformity of internal refractive index in glass. For optical glass used in high precision optical systems, the smaller the refractive index variation within the glass, the better the optical homogeneity. Optical homogeneity index is according to the application and final geometric dimensions of optical elements.
The optical homogeneity is denoted by △nmax (maximum elementary errors between each position in a piece of glass). There are four levels for our high homogeneity glass according to the test method specified in GB/T7962.2-2010 (see the form below).
Levels of optical homogeneity
Level | Δnmax |
H00 | 0.5×10-6 |
H0 | 1×10-6 |
H1 | 2×10-6 |
H2 | 5×10-6 |
H3 | 10×10-6 |
H4 | 20×10-6 |
Stress uniformity
Stress uniformity is the embodiment of stress uniformity in glass. Stress uniformity index is according to the application and final geometric dimensions of optical elements.
