Radiation Resistant Glass

  Radiation resistant glass refers to the special optical glass that transmittance decreased a little and colored slightly under the radiation of large dose of photons and particles. By adding CeO2 to the composition of optical glass, then we get the radiation resistant glass. It has the same optical constants as the corresponding optical glass. The glass type is formed by plus 500  to the corresponding ordinary optical glass type, for example: the corresponding radiation resistant glass of K9 is K509. 

  Radiation resistance performance of this glass is represented as shown below:

-ΔD :optical density increment for per centimeter thickness after 105R(25.8C/kg)γ-ray radiation;

-ΔD1 :optical density increment for per centimeter thickness after 105R  x-ray radiation;
